You have to zap them "before" they enter this state, or right after they've exited the state. Levithans have a small window of "invulnerability" during their attack animation, if you zap them during this window it won't stop them. It'd attack, then immediately follow me to attack again. I got attacked repeatedly and massive damage was done to my sea truck. I just beat the game(or what's in it so far) the other day and I had the shock defense thing. Bugs will happen before any actual damage is done. Leviathans cannot cause damage to base components, so they are "strong" enough to withstand any colision issues. I was under the impression though that habitat components wouldn't be strong enough to stop the thing? but exactly what habitat items would I use for this task? A bunch of I and L compartments and vertical connectors? I feel like it would be more efficient to build some 'safe zones' using the habitat elements, if that's possible.
